Henry Hudson Bridge – Replace Curb Stringers & Lighting

Description:
Judlau is removing the unused sidewalk and replacing it with an extended deck, providing a much needed roadway shoulder. The above grade curb stringers, located on both sides of the bridge, will be removed and replaced with roadway stringers located beneath the deck.
Miscellaneous steel repairs will be performed to the existing fascia girders, columns and stringers, along with replacing select diaphragms, scupper supports and sign structures. The entire UL electrical system for the roadway lighting will be replaced; conduits for the lighting, telephone and communication wiring will be placed inside the concrete barrier. All modular and relief and expansion joints will be extended and bearing pads and support steel will be replaced.
