Description:

Judlau is reconstructing a three story below grade concrete structure for a future vent plant connected to the existing PATH tube under the World Trade Center (WTC) site.  The work is located in the northwest corner of the WTC site bordered to the west by the West Side Highway and to the north by Vessey Street.

Judlau will install a temporary stairway from grade level to the PATH track bed and shielding over the existing PATH tube during the weekend General Orders.  We will also install temporary support for the existing energized PATH duct bank as well as temporary barriers to protect the current work.

Scope of Work includes:

  • Forming and pouring of new concrete slabs, roofs and columns.
  • Shotcrete and injection grouting for water infiltration.
  • Waterproofing of the structure.
  • Vibration analysis of work area.
  • Installing a secant pile and soil mix wall.
  • Supplying and installing noise foil panels and pre-cast planks.
  • Noise mitigation measures for future vent plant fan installation.
