Myrtle Wyckoff

The Myrtle Wyckoff Station is a multi-transport station located at the intersection of two commercial streets in the Ridgewood section of Brooklyn. This work is part of the 30 site Subway-Sidewalk Interface Project, a joint project sponsored by the New York City Department of City Planning (NYCDCP) and the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT).

Improvements in pedestrian circulation near mass transit access points offer the opportunity to reduce vehicular congestion and improve air quality, as well as safety and security. Judlau’s involvement on this nearly completed $47 million project includes a major upgrade to the existing Myrtle Wyckoff station, along with the construction of a 3-story building that will bridge and expand both stations. This new structure will also provide facilities for NYC Transit employees.

The Judlau team has upgraded both platforms, provided three new elevators, and built a dome level with glass panels and attractive art work. The project includes street-level steel repairs to columns supporting the elevated platform, replacement of ventilator gratings, and new sidewalks and road pavement.
