Bridges and Tunnels

Since we started, Judlau has been active in bridge reconstruction, rehabilitation and new construction.  The company has repeatedly introduced significant engineering innovations - such as pre-fabricated structures - that save time and benefit both owner and contractor.  Judlau's Project Management Teams uses its time-tested experience to approach a new project from all sides, thoroughly analyze the challenges at hand, reconfigure staging if necessary, and deliver excellence -- often ahead of schedule
 
Working in all five boroughs, Judlau has contributed to the construction and rehabilitation of more than 40 steel, concrete and temporary bridges. The company has proudly completed more NYCDOT projects than any other area contractor, delivering the majority of these 4 to 13 months ahead of schedule.
 
Now Judlau is bringing this same level of excellence to major tunneling projects.   Current work includes the East Side Access subway tunnel.  Judlau Contracting Inc. -- working in a joint venture with Dragados of Spain -- has undertaken this important project for the MTA and the City of New York.
 
The East Side Access will be a 4-line Long Island Railroad tunnel system which would go from Long Island City near Queens Plaza, under the East River, to Penn Station, with scheduled completion set for 2013.
